ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

This new abstract submission deadline will enable 'hot off the bench' science to be presented at the October meeting.

Abstracts submitted after July 1 will not be included in the European Journal of Biochemistry but will instead be included in a late-breaking abstracts pamphlet which will be printed for distribution exclusively at the meeting

Participants who would like to make a presentation at the congress must submit an abstract for consideration by the Scientific Committee. Most abstracts will be presented as posters and instructions on the preparation of posters will be included with the notification of acceptance.

The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission to the Secretariat.

Only the abstracts of authors who have registered and paid registration fees by September 1, 2002 will be included in the program and in the Meeting Book of Abstracts which will be published in a special edition of the European Journal of Biochemistry.

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS

• Abstracts must be written in English and contain a brief, clear statement of conclusion; avoid statements like "the findings will be discussed".
• All abbreviations must be defined before being used as an abbreviation in the text.
• The content of the abstract is solely the responsibility of the author.
• There is space for approximately 1800 characters of text.
• The title should contain not more than 100 characters. Titles with more than 100 characters will be truncated.

• Abstracts should be submitted online via the Abstract Form on this website.
• Please do not submit multiple copies of the same abstract
• Abstracts sent by mail or fax will not be processed by the Secretariat and will not be forwarded to the Scientific Committee for review.

PROCESSING
You will receive confirmation that your abstract has been received, indicating the abstract number which it has been allocated. Please refer to this number in all correspondence regarding the abstract.

Abstracts will be reviewed by the Program Committee and information regarding acceptance and scheduling will be sent to authors. Only abstracts of authors who have paid registration fees by September 1, 2002 will be scheduled in the final program.
